A Litany of Dedication September 12, 2021
Sheryl: We gather today in this space with joy and gratitude and wonder. The spirit of God who planted a vision in the hearts of a few, as led in the lives of a team of people, supported by many of the East Zorra congregation gathered here today, to help bring a vision to reality.
Dale: Today we celebrate the work and faithfulness of the Green space Committee, and of God, as we dedicate this space, and the people of God who gather here.
For the ministry of gathering and sharing, for the gift of relationships that will be nurtured in this place….
ALL: We dedicate this space!
Liam: For the beauty we will see, for the quiet listening this space will invite, for the power, beauty and character of God that nature will speak and reveal…
ALL: We dedicate this space!
Sheryl: For the worship we will offer, for the prayer that we will share, for the music we will sing…
ALL: We dedicate this space!
Dale: For the play, the laughter, the fun this space will encourage….
ALL: We dedicate this space!
Liam: For the learning, community and opportunity for hospitality and welcome this space will foster…
ALL: We dedicate this space!
Sheryl: Grass and trees, sunlight and stars, concrete pads, camp fires, benches, and all that will yet emerge….
AL: We dedicate this space!
Dale: God, you choose to dwell in us and build us up as your holy people. Live in us and empower us. Guide us by your Spirit and help us to follow you as we work together to keep growing this space for the Christ-centered ministry you call us to.
Liam: May this space be a place where we continue to be rooted in Christ and where we keep growing together in faith and where we extend your love to all who gather.
Sheryl: We dedicate ourselves to use this space for the ministry you call us to, for your honour and glory! Thanks be to God!
