Come when you can. Walk at your own pace. Connect with others.
Looking for more community connection and a reason to get outside this fall?
The East Zorra Mennonite Church Health Ministry Team, in partnership with Tracey Kropf, invites you to Fall Walk & Connect — a relaxed opportunity to enjoy movement, fresh air and meaningful connection with others.
This isn’t about being the fastest walker or committing to every gathering. Come when you can, walk at a pace that works for you, and enjoy the company of others. Depending on the group, walkers may split into different pace groups so everyone can participate comfortably.
When
Bi-weekly Mondays | October 5 – December 14, 2026
7:00 p.m. start
Gatherings will begin at 7:00 p.m. for now, with meeting locations varying throughout Tavistock and New Hamburg.
As the days become shorter, outdoor walks will use well-lit neighbourhoods and areas under streetlights. Times, locations or activities may be adjusted throughout the season as we discover what works best for the group.
What to Expect,
Most walks will be approximately 45–60 minutes, but Fall Walk & Connect may be about more than walking!
Throughout the season, different ideas and opportunities may be incorporated into our gatherings — whether that’s a themed walk, grabbing a beverage or snack together afterward, supporting a local event, visiting members of our community, or participating in a seasonal outreach opportunity.
The goal is simple: to create opportunities for people to connect, build relationships and enjoy community together.
Everyone Is Welcome,
Fall Walk & Connect is open to youth and adults, and you do not need to attend East Zorra Mennonite Church to participate.
Friends, neighbours and newcomers are always welcome!
There is no cost and no registration required, and there is no commitment to attend every gathering. Simply come when you can.
As the days get shorter and the seasons change, we hope this provides an opportunity to get moving, spend time outside, meet someone new and strengthen existing relationships.
Sometimes some of the most meaningful connections happen with people we may never have thought to call up and ask to go for a walk — and that’s part of what makes gathering together so special.
